Finding Our Voice offers an Evidence based social skills program for autistic Preteens, Teens and Young adults.
Social Skills Groups
Social groups are a fun, hands-on, interactive program that helps kids understand what it means to be autistic, manage anxiety and develop new skills to help support them through life’s different social & emotional challenges. Each session is fully guided by a qualified Speech Pathologist and we work hard to target the group’s sessions to meet the needs of each student.
By attending the sessions your Teen or Young Adult will learn;
- How to develop and maintain positive friendships and how to manage rejection or conflicts with PEERS.
- The difference between romantic relationships and friendships.
- Develop a toolkit of social skills used by socially successful teens in the real world.
- Create opportunities to learn social skills and to try them out in a safe and fun environment.
- Develop more independence and success within social relationships across many differing contexts.
Group Session Times
Groups run for 1.5 hours on a weekday afternoon during the school term.
Mondays 4:30 – 6:00 – Preteen Girls session (Upper Primary 4 – 6)
Mondays 6:00 – 7:30 – Teen Girls session (Lower High School 7 – 9)
Tuesdays 4:30 – 6:00 – Preteen Boys session (Upper Primary 4 – 6)
Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:30 – Teen Boys session (Lower High School 7 – 9)

Your Journey With Us

Contact us via the ‘Book Now’ tab. Please include your child’s name, age, and the reason for referral.
2. Contact Us
We will contact you, via email or telephone, regarding an assessment time. This will occur within 2 weeks of your first point of contact.
3. Assessment
Your Speech Pathologist will determine a clinical Speech, Language, and Literacy assessment plan based on your child’s age and developmental level.
4. Create Therapy Goals
Evidence based speech therapy goals will be established based on the outcome of the assessment.
